Ridge was a pain during the photo shoot. For one, there were gnats everywhere driving him crazy and getting him all itchy. Then he was just getting so grouchy in front of the camera. He wouldn't smile for anything. So we only got a couple good shots. I'm glad they got what they did actually. I love this first picture....really captures him.

Happy Father's Day to my babe!!

I can't believe its already Father's Day!! We're already half way through June!!

Well I wanted to say a quick Father's Day tribute to my husband

Curtis is one of the greatest dad's I know.

I don't know of any other dad that has all three kids as daddy's kids

They all love their daddy.

He loves his kids so much.

I appreciate all he does to help me out with the kids.

He loves to give them baths

Loves to be rough and throw them around (the kids love it too)

He enjoys watching them do their funny movements and dancing

He loves just snuggling and sleeping with them.

I am so lucky to have married a man like Curtis. He is the greatest dad for my kids

and I am so lucky. Happy Father's Day Babe!!

I am such a loser of a daughter :)

This week has been so hectic and really that's no excuse, but I never got around to making, getting, or doing anything for the special dad's in my life and my dad is one of them.

But I don't want to miss this opportunity to at least let him know how much I love him and appreciate him.

Growing up, he was the best entertainer going to bed. He would let us 'fly' on him to our beds or die his back like a horse to bed. We loved it when dad put us to bed.

He ever let us forget or think that we weren't important in his life. After work, he always took time to play with us. I remember countless hours playing outside playing with the balls, or digging or creating things. His kids all knew and know of his true unconditional love for them.

My Dad is the most humble man I know.

I used to think that all dad's were great

and I think a lot are.

But the older I get, the more I know

that my Dad is the Exception!

My dad is the most selfless man I know. He never stops thinking of others

and wanting to help anyone and everyone even though he

doesn't have much to give.

You can always count on him for anything!

He made our home a place of safety, of peace.

He has always loved us unconditionally.

He has always made us laugh

He has set a pretty high standard and example

for men in my life

and for my Husband

and I am so grateful for that.

Thanks Dad for not only being my Father,

but for being my Hero and my Friend.

I love you!!

Ridge as a princess? and Cambree's t-ball

So its continued to be a very hectic time in the Allen family. We really haven't caught a break too much yet. But I wanted to share some of the pics from the last little bit.

For Cambree's b-day, she got a trunk of princess dresses from her Nana. As much as Cambree loves it, I think Ridge loves them just as much. He loves to play dress up with her. Curtis loves it SOO much :) So here's some of those fun pics. He makes a beautiful princess doesn't he?

Cambree is doing t-ball this summer. I was so excited to get her in this and see how she took to it. Besides the first practice and a melt down over wearing the batting helmet, she's done great. She loves the attention and loves to play. As far as the game, its boring for her and we constantly remind her to watch the ball etc. Its so entertaining to watch. These kids are clueless. Love it!!! This is from the last game she had. I'll have to post the other pics later. My parents came down for her game and Sara and Darren came along with Steve and Pat for a bit. We are so thankful for all the family support here. Makes Cambree's day :)

Ridge was so bummed that he was too little to play, but he loves to watch.

My poor sweet Brecklynn. Last week from Tuesday to Thursday she was running 103 temps all day long. We heard about a fever going around for a couple days and figured that was what it was so didn't take her in. She was so congested so she couldn't eat or sleep. On Thursday, her fever went to 104.2 and decided to just take her in. Well, she had strep throat, a double ear-infection and they tested her for RSV because of her labored breathing. I felt so terrible. This poor little girl was so sick. They gave her a heavy duty shot to get her through the night and help her out. She's doing so much better now. We are still working on her congestion but she's so much better.

Well I still need to post on our wonderful family pics that Becky McArthur took. I LOVE the!!! So here ya go!!

Cambree's 4- Holy Cow...!!!

I cannot believe that Cambree is 4! Well I can because she wouldn't let me forget :)

We had to cancel her planned birthday at my mom's with my sister Chelsie making her birthday cake, so I had to scramble to come up with a cake and figure out some kind of party.

Cambree sat with me on Thursday afternoon and picked out pictures of what kind of cake she wanted. I was surprised that she actually had a true opinion on what she wanted. So the one below somewhat resembles what she wanted. I tried :) She put her old princesses on there and I had to laugh because they are obviously used. Colored on, scuffed etc. But they were cleaned.

Cambree insisted on helping with the cake and was even more proud of the end result. Love this impromptu pose.

So on Saturday, she woke up and immediately started on that it was her birthday. She insisted on waffles for her birthday breakfast. She settled for pancakes but loved that she got to blow out a candle in the morning. Even better we let her open 2 presents. A tutu outfit for her to wear for her birthday, and a watch.

All day she kept asking for the rest of her birthday. We had to keep telling her it wasn't until later. Nana came over with a nice gift for her and she loved it. It was a huge door banner that was meant to say "Happy Holidays Princess" but she was so smart and changed it to Birthday. Perfect for Cambree.

We had planned on doing a small barbecue for her birthday and have her gifts and cake at that time. It was amazing how quickly the numbers jumped from the original 6 people to over 25. It was great but it was kind of funny. Cambree got a huge party. She made out awesome. It was a lot of fun too.

So here's the set up. We obviously couldn't fit everyone in our house so we did it outside.

Pat showed up with this gift for her and she was ready to start opening. She was so excited to get that.

She cracked everyone up with her opening of the gifts. She made all kinds of faces with each gift like it was the best one and then would literally throw it on the ground and look for the next.

She's going to have one more to make up for the missed one at my parents so there's more of this fun to come :)

So now she's 4. Makes me truly feel very old. Next is 5 and off to school. CRAZY!! Happy Birthday little girl. Love ya!!

Poor Ridge

So most of you know that Ridge was stung by a scorpion on Thursday. Well he did recover pretty good. However, he's been suffering from nasty hives in reaction to the scorpion sting (I think). The weird thing about them is that they will disappear during the day (for the most part) and re-appear in the evening. Last night they were so bad that he had them on his eye-lids, lips, in his arm-pits, everywhere. Poor kid was itching like crazy. I have never seen anything like it.
