Miss Brecklynn

This little girl isn't so little anymore. Man that makes me so sad!! She's well on her way to being a full on toddler. She is a full fledged walker now. I am so sad I never caught her real wobbly stage on video. I guess that comes with kid number 3.

She talks and talks and talks non-stop. She swears she knows what she saying too. She's all about her siblings. Wherever they are, she is too and interacting fully with them more and more. She loves teddy bears lately. Its hilarious. She gets excited over new things. We just decorated for Halloween (I know don't judge me) and she was freaking out and screaming over every new decoration on the wall.

I am attempting to sleep train her. I know I'm asking for it with it being they are all still in the same room, but her getting up 4 times a night at 14 months, is RIDICULOUS!! So its been way long nights lately but I'm hoping it will work soon. I feel bad for Cambree and Ridge. They come out and tell me to get her and they sometimes end up sleeping on the couch because they can't handle her full on screaming. I just hope this works. I need to start sleeping more.

Brecklynn continues to eat EVERYTHING!! She amazes me with her appetite. She seriously can eat more than Cambree and Ridge combined. Seriously its so funny.

She loves her daddy. She's gets so excited when he gets home. He loves to chase her and throw her on the bed. Its like 'their' time. The bed is play zone for her.

She loves being outside with Cambree and sitting in her stroller for literally hours. She enjoys it.

She I think has said her first word-Momma but I don't think she comprehends it at all. However she knows 'shoes' and she says it too. Cracks me up. She loves shoes too. If she finds a pair of hers she insists on wearing them. I think we have another shoe lover coming about.

This was her Sunday. Loved how she looked. She actually left in her hair. We were surprised since she is all about tearing it out ASAP. She is so stink'n cute.

Ridge's 3rd Birthday and update

I cannot believe its already time for Ridge's 3rd birthday. Mind you, he hasn't let me forget but it still seems to have come on so fast!!

Ever since Cambree and Brecklynn's birthdays, Ridge has been begging for his birthday. And he has also told me for the longest time that he wanted an Ironman birthday. Everytime we go to the store and he sees something that he wants, he lets me know he wants it for his birthday. So its been quite a fun time leading up to his birthday. Now I know his actual birthday isn't until this coming Saturday on the 25th, but we celebrated a birthday at the Allen's Sunday as that is tradition to do it the Sunday before.

So here is the Ironman cake I came up with. It was so difficult to figure it out and I tried a stencil on there with something I found online, but man that wasn't working. So eventually I just had to free hand it. It was a bit dark at first because of all the black and I just put blue sprinkles in the eyes to lighten it up. I think it turned out better than I could have hoped for and Ridge recognized it was Ironman which is all I could ask for :)

All day Sunday he knew we were doing a birthday for him that evening and he just couldn't wait. He's definitely old enough now to understand and appreciate what his birthday really is. So he knew it was after church and naps and then we'd go to Nana's for his birthday. We get to Nana's and Ridge throws a fit since we are celebrating it RIGHT THEN. Funny. Eventually after we ate, we started his birthday
Can you see the sheer joy on this little boys face

Gifts he got

One of his favorites:

I cracked up at one point as we were about to leave because Ridge was in the toy room with all his new toys around him and he would just look at each one in the cutest way. It was cracking me up. Then I told him we needed go home. He replied "So I can open my presents" and I told him of course. He has never been so eager to leave.

When we got home we opened his train set while watching Ironman. Brecklynn turned into the pesky little sibling/monster and kept taking and tearing apart the train. Ridge was struggling so bad with it. Was so funny to watch.

But he did get to make it and loved playing with it. I think it was a perfect gift for him.

Now for a quick update on Ridge. He loves being Ironman all the time. He is constantly fighting anyone who will give him a chance. My mom got him an Ironman costume for Halloween and while he was there, refused to take it off and loved wearing it every second. So I am excited to see him at Halloween. We aren't getting it out here for fear he won't want to take it off :)

He loves preschool. He is so stink'n smart. He can say the entire pledge of allegiance, and recites a lot of our routine poems by heart. Cracks me up to hear this little boy saying them. He loves to color.

He is still struggling with potty training alone. I mean he is potty trained but we made the mistake of teaching him to begin with that he could go outside on the grass and he got into the habit and when we tried to curb it, he started having accidents because he doesn't like going in the toilet. He's slowly getting better. Hopefully with a little more time he'll be better.

He loves to dance and play with Cambree. The things he comes up with to say is amazing to me. His favorite phrase as of late is "I'm not your friend". He even says it to Curtis and I if he gets in trouble.

Cambree update

Its been some time since I've done an actual update. So figured with some fun pics, I would give a brief synopsis of what's been going on with her.

She is seriously a 4 year old going on 20. Her personality and ATTITUDE is far beyond her years!! She always is cracking me up with the things she comes up with to say. Lately she has been saying a lot in accents that is amazing to listen to.

She started gymnastics a couple weeks ago and I was so worried about how she would react. First day she cried for the first couple of minutes and insisted I stay the whole time. But she warmed up real fast. She's a fireball. Since I teach preschool, she doesn't get away from me much so she desperately needs this outside interaction. Last week, she went all by herself. I think we've really found something that she might love which makes me so excited.

She is all about coloring and drawing and is quite the artist. She can whip out a drawing that I swear a 7 year old drew. She is amazing. She colors in the lines and very well. She loves to write too. Just have to get her to write what I tell her too ;)

She has an amazing memory. You tell her anything and she will remember it forever. We told her recently that we will go to Disneyland in January after Halloween and Christmas. She is constantly repeating that-word for word in fact. She remember things that I completely forget I've told her.

She loves her little sister. Her and Ridge play these games 'with' her where Brecklynn is attacking them and they run and scream and its hilarious to watch. Especially now with Brecklynn starting to understand a bit and actually coming after them and screaming.

The other night Tesia came over for a bit and somehow got to messing with Cambree's hair. Cambree was loving it. She kept running into my room to see the new hair do and then running out and asking for a new one. Was quite funny to watch. Her hair is getting so long that you can do a lot more with it.

An update on her nail situation-I cannot tell if there has been improvement as of yet. She has lost 4 nails (of those that were already going bad) recently. They are still pretty gross but I have hope still that they will heal up soon. We'll see.

Nail trouble-kind of gross!!

So about 3 weeks ago Cambree (we thought) got hurt and was losing her nail from it. It was strange to us too at first because she had a hole in her cuticle and her whole nail was just lumpy. But we just continued to attribute it to her injury. Well after Cambree came back from my mom's I noticed that this "injury" was "spreading"-yeah spreading!!

She was losing several nails from the cuticle up. Well weirdly enough, turns out my nephew also started having it too and they found out it was iron deficiency and just put him on a vitamin. So I just started putting her on a vitamin.

Then yesterday two of her nails just went bad, to worse. There was 4 more toes losing the nail and going black. So I just decided to just take her in to make sure that was all it was. They took her blood and found out that she's not anemic. She's a little low but that wouldn't cause her nail situation. The Dr. told me that it was suprisingly probably allergies or even eczema. I was shocked to hear that espeically since Cambree is my only child-or so I thought- that didn't have those things. Ridge and Brecklynn have both those things pretty bad but not Cambree. He thiks its her way of dealing with it. WEIRD!! So now we are watching it and considering taking her off milk and hopefully we'll save her nails. I just don't want her to grow up with weird nails. That's not something I want her to be insecure about as a teenager. So we'll see.

You might have to click on the pic to see it better but that is the original nail to go. You can see how fare its gone so far.

No that's not dirt, that's her nail dying.

Same thumb again but a little better.

Side note with a funny story- so I got home from the Dr. and gave Cambree and Ridge their vitamin. They both hate them but I force them to take them. I walked out to change my laundry and came back in and they appeared to have eaten their vitamins. I gave them their praises and sent them back to playing. Well I walk into Brecklynn and what does she have? Both their vitamins that's she's been gumming in her mouth, all over her hands, legs, and face. Yeah they had given Brecklynn their vitamins. I couldn't help but laugh. I got on the kids for it and they just started laughing too. What is she, a dog? :) FUNNY! They are just way too smart!!

Brecklynn 13 months

With school starting, I've gotten so bad at updating on here. But I had to take some time to update on this little munchkin. She is now almost 13 months. She just finally started to full on walk. Its been about 2 weeks but this week she is walking more than crawling. She is hobbling everywhere and is hilarious to watch her still figuring out her balance.

She is all about handing you things within her reach. She loves to carry things to you and laughs as soon as she gets it to you.

She loves lions and recognizes them and can do their sounds. I LOVE it. She can make the cutest sounds with it.

Books is STILL what she's all about. She could seriously read for hours if you let her.

We took her in for an appointment and she is extremely tall but weighs 18.5 pounds. They were a bit worried about her weight because that puts in her in the 5th percentile. The thing that gets me with that, she is like a garbage disposal. She could eat and eat and eat and eat. She LOVES food.

She has a squealer on her and is quite annoying. Even happy squeals are so ear piercing that its off the charts.

She is truly the easiest, most laid back baby. I love this little munchkin so much!!

Below is something she loves to do all the time. As soon as the fridge opens up, she is walking/crawling as fast as she can to get inside. Let her inside and she just loves to stand there. I really don't get it, but its cute!!

Brecklynn's Cake Smash!!

I've been dying to see this pics and I was not disappointed. I LOVE them. I had seen the idea on another photography blog so Becky McArthur did them for me. She is my first baby to go for the cake so this was the perfect session. There are a TON of pictures, but I couldn't narrow it down. Enjoy!
