Brecklynn's Cake Smash!!

I've been dying to see this pics and I was not disappointed. I LOVE them. I had seen the idea on another photography blog so Becky McArthur did them for me. She is my first baby to go for the cake so this was the perfect session. There are a TON of pictures, but I couldn't narrow it down. Enjoy!

More Crafty Fun!!

So my parents took my kids the week and I decided to get some crafts done that I've wanted to do for awhile.

So here's a cute Halloween wreath made out of tulle and candy corn out of canvas.

For this project I've had the vinyl for awhile. I have been searching for a cabinet door for awhile to get it to fit. I finally just decided to use one of my old cabinet doors and put some molding around it. I LOVE it!!

Then this has just been an impromtu project that's evolved with every step. So it is done and this is going to be for our playroom and I'm debating on getting a frameless mirror for the middle or a clock or something. But I think it turned out ok.

Thanks mom for taking the kids and allowing me to get so much done.

Table Re-do

I've wanted to do this for a very long time. We got this table from my sister and brother-in-law several years ago. They had redone it and actually we've enjoyed it. However with kids now- it became trashed. Plus I've just wanted a darker table for awhile. So I finally decided to just do it. I consulted my expert crafty friend Amanda Wood and just started. Little did I know :)

I started last Tuesday and stripped the paint off the top and sanded it down. I put two coats ot stain on top. Then little did we know, we got the storm of the decade that evening!! I scrambled and threw tarps on top to try to save it. I have never seen it storm like that!! Anyways, it got water spots on most of my table and I had to Start ALL OVER AGAIN!! I had to sand it down and it took me 18 new sanding paper and 6 hours to get it down again. My whole body ached from doing it. But it was worth it :) I love the result. It's taken so much more than I could ever had expected. So what do you think? Be honest....

First Day of School

Today was the big day-the first day of Preschool. Cambree and Ridge were so excited to start. They were up early and wore their backpacks for over an hour before we actually started. I'm excited to watch their new friendships grow and see their knowledge grow. Should be a very fun year.

Brecklynn's FINAL birthday :)

My parents came up this past weekend to celebrate one more birthday for Brecklynn. My parents went back East with my sisters over Brecklynn's birthday so this was the first free weekend we were able to celebrate it. Its been really confusing for Ridge with Brecklynn getting 4 cakes and several birthdays.

My parents, my sisters Chelsie, Kayla and Jarica all came up early that morning to spend the day with us. Chelsie got Brecklynn a ball toy that she absolutely loves. Its cute watching her play with it. She puts her face on the hole where the balls come up and gets hit right in the face and then returns to the same place to have the ball hit her all over again. My mom got her some cute clothes and some stackable cups. Perfect for this little girl. We then went to Casa for lunch which was so fun. We then sang happy birthday to her and she had a cookie and cake balls. It was so fun having my family up for the day. I wish we could do that more often.

Family Day

We decided to take a family day up to the mountains before school got started. It was a last minute decision, but so much fun. It was the first time we went alone and though there wasn't much to do, it was still a lot of fun. We enjoyed a picnic and I took Cambree and Ridge for an 'adventure' which was so cute. Then we played a family game of frisbee which was suprisingly fun despite the age of the kids. After it started to get hot, we decided to head back but stopped to play in the creek for a bit. The kids LOVED it. Even though it was freezing water, they all got soaking wet. It was a lot of fun and I hope we can do it more despite the busy year ahead of us. It was a nice 'time out' for the family!!

This next picture is a bit out of focus, but I LOVE it. I love what it captured.
