Easter

I need to make this post before I get too far behind. So its gonna be short and simple with words. We really had a great Easter. Kids had a lot of fun. I got the girls wonderful matching dressed that I LOVE. Ridge even got a matching tie. So fun!!

 Since we got up at the crack of dawn, we got ready early and headed over to EAC to take some pictures. They were cute. Glad we did it!

Brecklynn wanted to be just like her sister with her pose. Love that they are so close!

 Later we headed over to Pat's for Easter dinner and a quick egg hunt with Luke and Grady. Kids loved it of course.

 Then we finished the evening off with an egg hunt and desserts with friends. It was so  much fun to watch the kiddos all together!

It was a really fun Easter!! 

Our First Cruise!

Well we finally did it, we went on our first cruise. We have been wanting to go for so long and we finally just booked it and went. It was so much fun. We really liked going by ourselves for the first time because we had to learn alot but now we know what to do different next time around :).

It was such a good trip for Curtis and I. With kids being sick non stop and just being overwhelmed period, it was a good time to take a break from everything and for Curtis and I to enjoy time together for a bit. We haven't had that in a long time. It felt weird to have no one to answer to or get back to or no agenda.

We left Sunday and of course it would be the beginning of a freak storm to hit Thatcher...and all of Arizona. It snowed Sunday and Monday. Quite the contrast of where we'd end up. We didn't get stopped by the snow but we did get stopped for 3 hours on the I-10 on our way to California. We kept saying how grateful we were that we didn't have any kids with us. We finally got to our hotel at 11:30 that night.

Next day we had time to kill till we could get on at 12:30. So we went to breakfast and Target. Curtis kept laughing at me for shopping like that because I didn't have the kids with me.

We finally got on and it was so weird. We literally just dropped our bags on the curb without talking to anyone which just felt awkward. We got on our boat and felt like we stuck out so bad. We had no clue what we could do or go. We didn't know where the free food was or how to go about anything. See...we really did have alot to learn :)

We finally started moving about 5:30. It was then that I found out to my dismay that I get sea sick. Luckily I had a little medicine with me but not enough for the hwole trip. So I was sick my first night. Yay :( Dinner was a new experience for us. We didn't know we were with a group and it was fine dining. Kind of weird. But we really liked our group. We attempted to watch kareoke later but I just was too sick to sit there. So it was an early night.

Next morning I felt better but knew it wouldn't last. The unfortunate thing with those pills is that they make you sleepy when you take them. So you either are sick or tired. But I survived. That day was Catalina day. My only goal was to get more meds. We enjoyed our first breakfast. It was a beatiful day. Perfect weather.

On Catalina we went on a golf cart ride around the island. That was fun.

Back on, we just laid out for several hours. This was a HUGE mistake. We are white people. Haven't seen sun in a long time. Well we both got these bad sunburns but only on our legs from the knees down and on one side of the leg. I literally have a line down either leg on the front and I look super silly. Kind of ruined laying out or enjoying the sun or even the spa after that. Dang us!

This was a couple that stayed in these clothes EVERYWHERE. Was quite the spectacle. They even went on the island and Ensenda like this.

That night was formal night.

Next day was Ensenada day. I was so leery about getting off but Curtis wanted to try. We got off as one of the first and Curtis didn't have any clue where to go. He wanted to literally wander around. I was so not going to do that. So we headed back to get a map. Once we did we found where the little shopping district was. I don't like how the kids follow you everywhere asking for money. Really pathetic. We finally gave in at one point and gave them our pocket full of change.

This was our last day. It was a bad day. It was all on sea and it was rocking everywhere. However I enjoyed it the most in that we were busy all day with activities. I found out that I am not one to relax for a long period of time. I don't do it well. Good to know for next time :)

This guy was a magician next to our table. He was so funny. Every night he would entertain us with his tricks. It was a lot of fun. Our dinners were great. We didn't really like the food at all but the company was a lot of fun. Ok I take that back...I loved the melting chocolate cake. I got that every night.

I really have slacked quite a bit lately with blogging. I'm not quite sure what's going on!

But here's a quick update. We are all finally on the mends. We've had someone sick in our house for almost 2 months straight. We're glad to see healthier days in our future. We are getting closer to the end of the school year so things are getting busier. Cambree just had her 2nd spirit week which was fun. She finally wanted to participate this time. First time round I think she was thinking it was uncool to look silly. But I got her to do it this time :)

So here is silly hair day. She actually told me how to do her hair. We had to fix it quite a few times to get it just right

Here was green day. Both in preschool and at the primary school, we celebrated green day together.

Brielle turned 10 months this past month. She is getting so big. She has struggled quite a bit lately with chronic double ear infections. We are about to start the process of getting tubes. She has also lost some weight. Last we weighed her she was 15 lbs. So little. But I love it. This past week (while they were with my mom and dad), she actually cut her 3rd and 4th tooth. She looks like she might be like Brecklynn with a gap but its cute. She loves to stand and get applause. She loves patty-cake and her clapping is one finger clapping against the other hand. Pretty cute. She says uh-oh and hi. She makes all kinds of noises all the time and is fun to see her adventurous side coming out. I think before long she'll be walking everywhere.

Brielle is 9 months

She's like 9 1/2 months actually but its ok.

Here's her stats before I forget

She is 16 pounds.

She is getting so big. I cannot believe she is so old already. At the beginning of January she finally got her first 2 teeth. It has been a long time coming. She is a hard teether. She almost gets a tooth and then it disappears. Just like Ridge was. Her hair is finally getting thicker. People call her a skunk because of the thicker stripe down the middle of her head. We can finally put it in a little do'. Its pretty cute.

She is on EVERYTHING. She is climbing on EVERYTHING. She is a super crawler and gets everywhere fast!!

She still does her monster noise and doggy pant which is hilarious.

When she's hungry and she sees food she will grunt until you give it to her. She loves ANY food.

She has started standing by herself for longer and longer times.

She loves to attack you all over with her open mouth. So I constantly have wet spots literally all over my clothes.

She is suffering right now from croup which has been hard. I hate seeing her sick but she still tries so hard to be happy.

She has a special relationship with her siblings and loves her daddy. Whenever he comes home he has to hold her. She loves to play on the couch. If she could, she'd play on it all day long.

Her smile is contagious :)

Table Re-do

We got this beautiful table when we moved into this house from my Aunt Teddie. It is a wonderful table. However it had quite a few nicks and dings and the top just needed to be redone. Upon accepting the table, I knew it would be a project. Well here it is a year later, and I finally got it done. I like to tackle these kind of projects. They are daunting and huge but the after its done its worth it. I decided to just paint over it instead of restraining it but it still took forever. There is so many nooks and crannies on this table that the prep was extremely time consuming.

I decided to take off the back chair pad and I like the new look. I need to reupholster the chairs but that's another day :)
